Heritage Kava, was established in 2020. An iTaukei-owned kava export business based in Lovoni Village, Ovalau. Founded by Sowani Saunitoga, a third-generation kava farmer, the business was created to bridge the market gap for Kava farmers in the rural areas of the Lomaiviti Province. Since 2023, Heritage Kava has expanded its reach through e-commerce, selling directly to customers via the Amazon US platform.

Heritage Kava sets itself apart using an innovative carton style design enhancing shelf appeal. The business also champions sustainability through the use of a 100% solar powered processing facility, aligning our operations with global environmental standards. This allows them to produce an eco-friendly Kava product range:-

At the heart of the enterprise is a strong commitment to community empowerment, achieved by working directly with small scale rural farmers to ensure fair pricing and consistent income, thereby preserving traditional livelihoods.

Bula Batiki – a community-owned business that produces organic virgin coconut oil on the remote island of Batiki, Fiji.

It is the first indigenous community-owned Fijian business to have achieved USDA NOP and Organic EU certification, ISO 22000 and HACCP Australia certification.

Zonah United – produces, manufactures and delivers Premium Packed Quality Fijian Grown Organic Spices to the international market so that they are able to work with more rural communities and help many other families who currently are unemployed.

Products include: Turmeric Powder, Ginger Powder, Cinnamon Sticks, Cinnamon Powder and Chilli Flakes. 

Fijiana Cacao – a premium artisan chocolate brand from the pristine lands of Fiji.

They make pure, high quality, single origin chocolate the old-fashioned way, largely crafted by hand and using just two ingredients – sun dried cacao from the remote rainforest plantations, and raw cane sugar. 

Fijiana Cacao starts from the grassroots farmers who grow the beans for the chocolate.

These local farmers are educated by Fijiana Cacao in the best practises, including a post fermentation method for producing the highest quality cacao beans.

These efforts improve the livelihood of Fijian farming communities and the Fijian cacao industry.

They have a selection of 12 different treats which include exclusive Fijian flavours and ingredients.
